Alfred Myers

Alfred Myers, Jr., 75, of Dardanelle, died Friday, October 13, 2006 at Baptist Medical Center in Little Rock. The son of Alfred and Rosetta Myers, he was born July 21, 1931 in Jasper. He married Marie Vatala on April 1, 1965 in Russellville. He was a United States Marine Corps Veteran of the Korean War. He worked for Firestone Tire as a tube inspector for 24 years. He was preceded in death by his parents; five brothers; and one sister.
He is survived by his wife, Marie Myers of Dardanelle; two stepsons, David Marshall and wife Angala of Russellville, and Dowe Marshall and wife Judith of Dardanelle; three stepdaughters, Rose Marie Barber and husband Jim of Ashland, Kentucky, Lorraine Saniger of Pottsville, and Kathleen Richardson and husband Herman of Detroit, Michigan; one brother, Kenneth Myers and wife Shirley of Dover; a nephew, Bob Freeman and wife Mary Lou of Dover; and other nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
Memorial service will be at 10:00 AM, Thursday, October 19, 2006 at Humphrey Chapel. Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Humphrey Funeral Service.
