Alice Karnes Roberts

Alice (Karnes) Roberts, 92, of Russellville, AR, died Saturday, July 24, 2004 at Russellville Nursing & Rehabilitation Center in Russellville, AR. The daughter of William and Maggie (Williams) Karnes, she was born March 1, 1912 on Linker Mountain. She worked as a clerk for Quick Service Cleaners for 30 years. She was a member of the Harmony Freewill Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband Ezra Cecil 'Bud' Roberts and was also preceded in death by her parents, and several brothers and sisters.
Survivors include one son and daughter-in-law, Euel and Elizabeth (McAlister) Roberts of Russellville; three daughters and sons-in-law, Ina and James Darter of Russellville, Ona and Charles McAnulty of Russellville, Margaret and Bob Linton of Fort Smith; 10 grandchildren, Richard Roberts of Russellville, David Roberts of Dardanelle, Cecil Ann Brown of Russellville, Debbie Jackson of Russellville, David Darter of Liberty, Sherry Carter of Dardanelle, Scott McAnulty of Russellville, Lisa Kennelly of McKinney, Melanie Mansell of Fort Smith, Lori Worsham of Van Buren; 24 great grandchildren; 6 great great grandchildren; two brothers, Sid Karnes of Havana, Lester Karnes of Missouri; one sister, Esther Sparks of Dover.
Funeral will be at 10:00 AM Tuesday, July 27, 2004 at Humphrey Chapel. Rev. Terry Latham will officiate. Burial will be at Rest Haven Memorial Park at Russellville, AR by Humphrey Funeral Service. Visitation will be 6:00 to 8:00 Monday evening at the funeral home.
