Allen K Bowles Obituary (1934 - 2014) - Russellville, Arkansas

Allen K Bowles, 79, of Dover, AR, passed away on Thursday, August 28, 2014 at Arkansas Hospice River Valley Home in Russellville, AR. The son of R K and Fern Pennington Bowles, he was born November 30, 1934 in Hodgens, OK. On November 19, 1960, he married Delores Elizabeth Piazzola at Dillon, MT. He was a United States Air Force Veteran of Vietnam. Allen K and Delores owned and operated the Bowles Market and Station in Dover for 30 years. He was a wonderful husband, father, grandfather, and an example of an all out "family man". He was preceded in death by his parents; one brother, Tommy Bowles. Survivors include his loving wife of 53 years, Delores Bowles of Dover; a son Greg Bowles and wife Ruby of Howe, OK; two daughters, Debra Handley of Atkins, Leann Ledford and husband Gerald of Dover; six grandchildren, Denton Bowles, John Bowles, Brittanie Handley, Katie Loyd, Allie Loyd, Chris Loyd; one great granddaughter, Ashlyn Bowles; one brother, Ronnie Bowles and wife Robin of Waldron. Memorial service will be held at 10:00AM, Monday, September 1, 2014 at Booger Hollow Tabernacle. Rev. Mary Ledford will officiate.
