Alma Louise Wait

Alma Louise Wait, 94, of El Centro, CA , formerly of Russellville, Arkansas, died Sunday, April 20, 2003 at in El Centro, CA. The daughter of the late Ello and Stella Lawrence Wilson, she was born December 13, 1908 in Appleton. She taught school for several years at the Old Linker Mountain School. She was a member of the West Side Church of Christ. She was preceded in death by her husband James Murel Wait, Sr.; five brothers, Dee Boyd Wilson, Lester E. Wilson, Dudley Wilson, Lawrence Wilson and Paul Wilson; three sisters, Mary Sue Nelson, Edna Maud Hardin and Letha Maye Pennington; and a daughter, Johnnie Sue Best.
Survivors include one son, James M. Wait, of Sahuarita; two daughters, Joyce Scofield of Fort Worth, Janie Armendariz of El Centro; 15 grandchildren; 28 great grandchildren; 2 great great grandchildren; a brother, Robert V. Wilson, or Little Rock; a sister, Bettye Carpenter of Russellville.
Funeral service will be 10 am Friday, May 9, 2003 at the Humphrey Chapel officiated by Mr. Bill Roderick. Burial will be at North New Hope Cemetery at Dover, AR under the direction of Humphrey Funeral Service. The family will receive friends from 7-8:30 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
