Alyene Aston Obituary (1930 - 2012) - Russellville, Arkansas

Alyene Aston, 81, of Russellville, AR, died Thursday, June 7, 2012 at her home in Russellville, AR. The daughter of Monroe and Bertha Malick, she was born July 20, 1930 in Atkins, Ar. She married her loving husband Thurman Aston, on January 6, 1950 at Russellville, Ar. She attended Harmony & Woodlawn Freewill Baptist Churches. Alyene always loved sewing, reading, traveling in her RV, listening to bluegrass & gospel music, doing cross word puzzles, cooking for her grandchildren, macrame, needle work and painting. She was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers M.D. Malick and wife Katie and Loren Leon Malick and wife Louise. Left to cherish her memory is her husband Thurman Lee Aston of Russellville; three children Allen Lee Aston of Newburgh, In, Steven Dale Aston & wife Aurora of Tulsa, Ok, and Benita Mae Aston of Tulsa, Ok; five grandchildren Alexander Lee Aston Zapata of Newburgh, In, Andres Mauricio Aston Zapata of Newburgh, In, Timothy Joseph Aston of Tulsa, Ok Jonathan Patrick Aston of Tulsa, Ok, and Lindsey Michelle Aston of Tulsa, Ok; four step-grandchildren Claudia Benson Pena, Saul Conrado Paelares Jean-Carlos Conrado Paelares, and Daniela Benson Pena; a very special cousin Dean Childers; and many cousins, nephews, and nieces. Funeral will be at 2:00PM, Tuesday, June 12, 2012 at Humphrey Chapel. Reverend Bob Alexander and Reverend Randal Williams will officiate. Burial will be at Oakland Cemetery in Atkins, AR by Humphrey Funeral Service. Visitation will be from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm, on Monday, at the funeral home.
