Ann Elizabeth (Newell) Darter Obituary (1928 - 2020)

Ann Elizabeth Darter, 91, of Benton, AR, died Wednesday, January 8, 2020, at Alcoa Pines Nursing Home in Benton. A daughter of Homer and Floy Ann (Bowen) Newell, she was born March 5, 1928, in Shawnee, OK. She worked 23 years as an assembler with the Timex Watch Corporation. She was of the Assembly of God faith and enjoyed sewing. Ann was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Beatty Darter; a brother, H.D. Newell; two sisters, Betty Lancaster and Barbara Belbeck; and a grandson, Justin Darter. She is survived by her two sons, Robert Darter (Donna) of Benton, and David Darter (Vicki) of Bryant; her daughter, Joann Yandell (Andy) of Mayflower; a sister, Martha Faler of Menefee, California; a brother, Bill Newell of California; seven grandchildren; nine great grandchildren, five great-great grandchildren; and many other friends & relatives. A graveside service & burial will be held at 10:00AM, Monday, January 13, 2020, Old Baptist Cemetery in Russellville under the direction of Humphrey Funeral Service.
