Asa Rubio Pelayo Obituary (1998

Asa Rubio Pelayo, 11, of Russellville, died Wednesday, July 7, 2010 at his home surrounded by his loving family. The son of Raymundo and Obdulia Pelayo Rubio, he was born December 27, 1998 in Shakopee, MN. Asa just completed the fourth grade at Crawford Elementary; Mrs. Snider was his teacher. He attended the Light of the World Church (Iglesia La Luz Del Mundo) in Russellville where he enjoyed singing in the church choir. He enjoyed Reading, drawing, writing and building airplanes and cars with Legos. He was preceded in death by his Paternal grandfather, Cleofas Rubio and 2 cousins, Eliab Rubio and Asael Rubio. He is survived by his parents, Raymundo & Obdulia Rubio, Russellville; two sisters Esmeralda Rubio, Russellville, Ruby Rubio, Russellville; a brother, Shadrach Rubio, Russellville; maternal grandfather, Miguel Pelayo , Shakopee, MN; maternal grandmother, Maria Cazares, Shakopee, MN; paternal grandmother, Amelia Aguilar Sanchez, Autlan, Mexico and many aunts, uncles and cousins. Funeral will be at 9:00AM, Saturday, July 10, 2010 at Humphrey Chapel. Eder Sanchez will officiate. Burial will be at Oakland Cemetery in Russellville by Humphrey Funeral Service. The family will receive friends from 10A.M. until 8P.M. Friday at Humphrey Chapel. A special Children's Visitation will be at 4P.M. today (Friday), also at Humphrey Chapel.
