Aubrey Lee Ballew

Aubrey L. Ballew, 90, of Hollis, AR, died Saturday, December 19, 2009 at Perry County Nursing & Rehabilitation in Perryville, AR. The son of Dick and Rosalee Norman Ballew, he was born September 7, 1919 in Ava, AR. He was a United States Army Veteran of World War II. He worked as a Logger and was a member of the Plainview VFW; He enjoyed fishing, hunting and gardening. He was preceded in death by his parents, first wife, Collien "Sally" DuBose; second wife, Ella Dean Brown; two brothers, Dick, Jr." Babe" and Gerald Ballew.
Survivors include a son; Aubrey Gene Ballew & wife Susie of Hollis; Daughter, Marsha Wilson & husband David of Hollis; step-son, Allen Brown & wife Theresa of Cherry Hill; five grandchildren; six great grandchildren and numerous nieces, nephews and friends.
Funeral will be at 2:00PM, Tuesday, December 22, 2009 at Valley Home Missionary Baptist Church of Hollis. Reverend Jimmy Scott will officiate. Arrangements are under the direction of Humphrey Funeral Service.
