Mr. Audie "Junior" Drewry Obituary (1934 - 2017)

Audie "Junior" Drewry, 82, of Morrilton, formerly of Dover, passed away Saturday, January 7, 2017 at Brookridge Cove Nursing Home in Morrilton. The son of William and Nancy (Shockey) Drewry, he was born August 13, 1934 in Witts Springs. He married Wanda Faye Scarberry on August 13, 1955 at Reno, NV. He was a member of the First Assembly of God in Russellville. During his younger years he worked as a picker at a peach orchard in California and later in a lumbermill. After moving to Arkansas, he raised cattle and was a chicken farmer and also worked for many years at the Firestone Tube Plant. He enjoyed bowling and farming and spending time with family. He was preceded in death by his wife, Wanda Faye Drewry; his parents; three sisters, Lena Compton, Bertha Owens and Minnie Bailey; and a brother, Leonard Drewry. Survivors include a daughter and son-in-law, Regina and Eric Swaim of Dover; son and daughter-in-law, Kenneth and Nancy Drewry of Dover; brother and sister-in-law, Dale and Lela Drewry of CA; five grandchildren, Crissy Drewry of Pottsville, Tiffany Drewry of Dover, Angie Drewry of Tulsa, OK; Mystina Kaliea Swaim and Treylan Schae Swaim, both of Dover; three great-grandchildren, Gavin, Dylan and Emory Williamson, all of Pottsville; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. Funeral Service will be held at 10:00AM, Wednesday, January 11, 2017 at the First Assembly of God in Russellville. Rev Ronnie Morris will officiate. Burial will be at Witts Springs Cemetery in Witts Springs by Humphrey Funeral Service. Visitation will be from 6-8PM, on Tuesday, at the funeral home.
