Barbara Jo (Parker) Miller Obituary (1943

Barbara Jo Miller, 77, of Dardanelle, passed away early Thursday evening, October 29, 2020, in Dardanelle. Barbara was born April 20, 1943, in London, Arkansas, in Johnson County to Joe Bill and Violet J. Burdine Parker. She was the proud mother of two daughters, Tammy Dawn Perez of Dardanelle, and Sheila Hegeman of Atkins. Barbara had a passion for gardening, a love of growing good food and was an expert at canning and freezing her wares. She especially loved her grandchildren, Hunter and Tanner Hegeman of Atkins and Braden Wayne Miller, who she was able to watch grow into a young man; and, with whom she shared a special closeness, bringing so much color to her life. She was preceded in death by her parents, two dearly loved grandsons, Austin Hegeman and Samuel Miller, two sisters, Billie Anne Hatchett, and Treva Kaye Gray, and one brother, Fred J. Parker. Survivors include two daughters and two sons-in-laws, Blaine A. Hegeman of Atkins and Jose Perez of Dardanelle, three grandchildren, her beloved sister and brother-in-law, Elizebeth Frankel and Marshall Frankel of Tarzana, California, a precious brother and sister-in-law, Rick and Betty Parker of London, Arkansas; nephews, Michael Hatchett and William S. Gray both of Arkansas; three nieces, Kim Parker of Arkansas; Gabrielle Frankel and Danielle Frankel both of California. Graveside service and burial will be Saturday, November 21, 2020 at East Point Cemetery in Russellville under the direction of Humphrey Funeral Service.
