Russellville, Arkansas
Bennie Ray Cain, 77, of Russellville, Arkansas, went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, September 13, 2025, at his home surrounded by his wife, children, and family. He was born April 5, 1948, in West Helena, Arkansas, to Edward and Earlene Jackson Cain. On May 23, 1969, he married the love of his life, Harriett Emily Cain, in Northport, New York, and together they shared more than 56 years of marriage built on love, faith, and family.
Bennie was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather. He worked as a contractor and took great pride in his work, but his true accomplishments were found in his family. He served honorably in the U.S. Army for three years and was a proud veteran. An avid sportsman, Bennie loved golfing, hunting, fishing, and the outdoors, passions he shared with his children and grandchildren. His life was a testament to hard work, dedication, and deep love for those closest to him.
A member of First Baptist Church of Pottsville, Bennie made a profession of faith and accepted the Lord into his life on September 10, 2025. In a moment of profound joy, he was baptized at his home by Brother Jim Huffman. His faith journey and commitment to Christ were a great comfort to him and his family in his final days.
He was preceded in death by his parents and his brother, Charles Cain.
Survivors include his wife, Harriett Emily Cain of Russellville; three sons, Chad Cain (Misty), Adam Cain (Melissa), and Eric Cain (Jasmine); eight grandchildren, Alec Cain (Holly), Halley Sullivan (Brance), Shayla Cain (Hunter) Abbie Cain, Emily Cain, Briley Cain, Jackson Cain, Avah Cain; and three great-grandchildren, Chase, Beau and Stetson; his fishing buddy, Steve Corbin (Andrea) and his best friend of over 40 years David Hollingshead (Tori), along with many extended family members and friends who will cherish his memory.
Memorial service will be held at 11:30 a.m., Friday, September 19, 2025, at Humphrey Chapel, with Rev. Jim Huffman and Halley Cain-Sullivan officiating. Visitation will be held from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m., Friday, at the funeral home. A private committal service was held at 11 am on Monday, September 15, 2025 at the new Chapel of Light at the J. Herman Humphrey Dignity Cremation Center, under the direction of Humphrey Funeral Service. Following the service, First Baptist Church of Pottsville will provide lunch for the family.
