Bobby Lois Boland

Bobby Lois Boland, 87, of Hector, died Tuesday, April 9, 2024, at National Park Medical Center in Hot Springs. The family will receive friends on Sunday, April 14, 2024, from 3:00 to 5:00 PM at Humphrey Funeral Chapel. Graveside services will be 10:00 AM, Monday, April 15, 2024, at Rest Haven Memorial Park under the direction of Humphrey Funeral Service. Dr. Jeff Paxton will officiate.

The son of Lois and Sarah Rhea (Childers) Boland, he was born October 8, 1936, in Hobo, Arkansas. He was preceded in death by his parents; his late wife of 63 years, Glenna Sue Boland; a brother, Homer Cheek; and a sister, Billie Hays.

Bobby is survived by his son, Brent Boland (Andrea) of Hector; a daughter, Rena Taylor (Jerald) of Russellville; four grandchildren: Bradley Taylor (Stacie), Garrett Taylor (Jordan), Carter Boland, and Everleigh Boland; five great grandchildren: Jeb Taylor, Whit Taylor, Gracie Taylor, Arianna Taylor, and Blaine Taylor; along with several nieces and nephews.

Bobby’s life and passion centered around his farm and cattle ranching. It was his happy place throughout his life. If you ever found Bobby and his family away from the farm, more than likely it would be at a feed lot or livestock auction. Occasionally he would venture to open lands westward with the family or take in a few rodeos. He especially enjoyed the rich blessing of his children and grandchildren.
