Bobby Ray Howell

Bobby Ray Howell, 56, of Russellville, went to be with the Lord, Sunday, November 16, 2008 at his home surrounded by his loved ones. The son of Robert and Myrtle Peel Howell, he was born May 27, 1952 in Heber Springs. He was a member of the East Point Baptist Church in Conway. Bobby ministered in nursing homes in Conway and was formerly an Assistant Pastor at the Gold Creek Baptist Church in Mayflower. After 27 years, he retired from Virco Manufacturing in Conway. He was preceded in death by his parents; stepdaughter, Maureen Bacquet; stepgrandson, Cade Sellers and stepbrother, Rufus Kelly.
He is survived by his wife, Gloria Howell of Russellville; one daughter, Tammy Green of Broken Bow, Oklahoma; one son, Michael Howell of Cabot; three stepdaughters, Jennifer Metz & husband Tommy of London, Becky Moore & husband Tony of Russellville, Winnie Dunn & husband Dave of Russellville; twin brother, Billy Howell of Marvelle; brother, Harley Howell of Conway, two sisters, Judy Howell of Greenbrier, Betty Verser of Heber Springs; numerous grandchildren and special friends of Virco Manufacturing.
Funeral service will be at 3:00PM, Wednesday, November 19, 2008 at Victory Missionary Baptist Church with Bro. Danny Fudge officiating. Burial will be at Baker's Creek Cemetery at Russellville, by Humphrey Funeral Service.
Visitation will be 4-5:30 PM Tuesday at the funeral home.
