Bobby Joy McAlister

Bobby Joy "Bob" McAlister, 84, of Dover, passed away on Sunday, January 30, 2022, at Arkansas Hospice River Valley Home in Russellville. The son of Joy and Adele Teal McAlister, he was born June 13, 1937, in Dover, AR. He was a Dover High School graduate and attended ATU. Bob worked at Arkansas Nuclear One during its construction as an Electrician.

He was preceded in death by his parents, a sister and brother-in-law, Liz and Euel Roberts and is survived by 3 daughters, Cyndie Loper (Chris), Julie Moss (Chris), Amanda "Amie" Barkley, all of Dover; 5 grandchildren, Daniel Loper, Kristen Nordin, Matthew Moss, Alec Barkley, and Lakyn Barkley; 3 great grandchildren, Trinity Loper, Presten Nordin, and Zack Nordin.

Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Humphrey Funeral Service and the J. Herman Humphrey Dignity Cremation Center. The family will hold private memorial service at Rushing Cemetery in the spring of 2022. Memorials may be made to Arkansas River Valley Hospice Home, 220 John Babish Lane, Russellville, AR 72801.
