Bobby Moore

Bobby Joe Moore, 84, of Russellville, took his final checkered flag on Saturday, August 1, 2026. The son of Linsey and Ruby Eubanks Moore, he was born January 21, 1942, in Mansfield, Arkansas. Bobby was no stranger to hard work. For 38 years, he worked nights at ConAgra and spent his days operating Moore’s Garage, which he owned until 2004. Whether he was finishing a shift, repairing an engine, or helping someone get back on the road, Bobby kept life running at full throttle.

Bobby had a lifelong love for anything with wheels and an engine. He especially enjoyed stock-car racing and riding Honda Gold Wings. He was a member of the Retreads Motorcycle Club, the Valley Antique Auto Club, and the Tri-County Cruizers. Away from the garage and racetrack, he was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed hunting deer and turkey.

He is survived by his wife, Sandi Moore of Russellville; two daughters, Freda Maggard and husband James of Russellville, and Vicky Nichols and husband Tim of Russellville; one son, Terry Moore of Atkins; one stepdaughter, Tami McWilliams and husband Steve of Texas; eight grandchildren, Adrianne Tyra, Kristina Trimble, Mason Nichols, Amber Lewis, Clayton Moore, Evan Teer, Ryan Teer, and Megan Urbanczyk; 14 great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and other relatives. He was preceded in death by his parents; his first wife, Sue Sullivan; and one sister, Glenda Byrum.

His family and friends will remember the sound of his garage, the roar of an engine, and the steady determination with which he lived his life.

Funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m. Thursday, August 6, 2026, at Humphrey Chapel, with the Rev. Fred Goates and Brother Jim Mills officiating. Burial will follow at North New Hope Cemetery in Dover under the direction of Humphrey Funeral Service. Visitation will be held from 6:00 to 9:00 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home. Casket bearers will be David Case, Dale Hill, Johnny Rudder, Doug Dunn, Harold Anderson, Troy McConnell, Hoss Yates, and Mason Linn.
