Carla Faye Ford, 67, of Russellville, died Monday, March 23, 2020, at Saint Mary's Regional Medical Center. A daughter of Carl and Erma Faye (Campbell) Covington, she was born January 1, 1953, in Nile, Michigan. She was employed in food service and worked at the Russellville Denny's for 10 years before retiring.\n\nHaving been a cancer patient, she held a deep compassion for others who were undergoing cancer treatment in the community. She regularly visited the local CARTI Unit, handing our lap robes, visiting and encouraging patients. As an active member of West Side Church of Christ, she was a vital participant of their Monday Night for the Master ministry, making up and delivering snack packs to area cancer patients.\n\nCarla loved her family, especially her grandchildren. She was famous for her Thanksgiving gravy whom all lavished and still work diligently to duplicate.\n\nShe was preceded in death by her parents. She is survived by her two daughters, Melinda Swain (Shawn), and Lisa Mann, both of Russellville; her son, Quinten Swain of Ojai, CA; seven grandchildren: Lilly Stubblefield, Dylan Stubblefield, Jaden Stubblefield, Katelynn Brown, Paige Hall, Taylor Herrera and Alexia Russell; a great granddaughter, Elaina Pratt; and her sister, Kathy Green.\n\nCremation arrangements are under the direction of Humphrey Funeral Service.
