Cathryn Moro Obituary (1935 - 2024) - Russellville, Arkansas

Cathryn Moro, 89, of Russellville, passed away on Monday, March 25, 2024, at Russellville Nursing & Rehab. Born on February 8, 1935, in Atkins, she was the daughter of Richard and Oma Elizabeth Williams Davis. Cathryn was the owner of Mike's Drive-in, later known as Moreland Cafe for many years, but her most cherished roles were those of a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and a dear friend to all who had the pleasure of knowing her. She was a volunteer with the Senior Companion with Area Agency on Aging for 24 years where she found it very rewarding. She came to love her clients and co-workers as family. Cathryn had a passion for helping others and spending time with her family and close friends. She was a longtime member of the Gravel Hill Church of Christ. She was preceded in death by her husband, Mike Moro; her parents; her son, Johnny Moro; a brother, and five sisters. Cathryn is survived by three daughters, LaDonna Cross, Linda Wooten (Ronnie), and Carmella Lewallen, all of Russellville; a daughter-in-law, Helen Moro Sparks (Earl) of Dover; numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and other relatives and friends who will dearly miss her presence. A funeral service will be held at 10:00 AM on Friday, March 29, 2024, at Humphrey Chapel, officiated by Mr. David Wait and Mr. Scott Roderick. Following the service, burial will take place at St. Paul Cemetery in Dover under the care of Humphrey Funeral Service. Visitation hours will be from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM on Thursday at the funeral home.
