Rev. Charles Edward Bradley Obituary (1938

Charles Edward Bradley, 85, of Atkins, passed into the presence of Jesus and his eternal reward on Sunday, January 29, 2023, at his home. The family will receive friends on Thursday, February 2, 2023, 6:00 to 8:00 PM, at Humphrey Funeral Chapel. Funeral services will be Friday, February 3, 2023, at 10:00 AM, at Atkins First Assembly of God with Rev. Pat Murphy, Rev. Brian Ryals, and Rev. Bill Hampton officiating. Burial is following at Robertstown Cemetery in Jerusalem. The son of Everette and Bessie Mildred (Sutton) Bradley, he was born January 27, 1938, in Lost Corner, Arkansas. He married Patsy Jean (Walters) Bradley, on February 17, 2018, in Atkins. Charles was preceded in death by his parents; his first wife of 59 years, Bennie Bradley; a brother, Willard Bradley; a grandson, David Bradley; a step-son, Michael McElroy; and a son-in-law, Ralph Myers. He is survived by his wife, Patsy; seven children: Regina Myers of New Blaine; Bruce Bradley (Kim) of New Blaine; Danny Bradley (Becky) of Conway; Tammy Brock (Gary) of Pottsville; Rhonda Murphy (Patrick) of Oklahoma; Tim Bradley (Lawana) of Atkins; and Tina New (Kevin) of Dover; nineteen grandchildren and many great grandchildren; a brother, Dillard Bradley (Mary); a step-daughter, Marsha Barnes; and a sister, Linda Cook (Dennis). He raised one granddaughter, Melissa Scott, and considered her as his daughter. Charles followed his divine calling as a pastor & preacher throughout his life. He founded the First Pentecostal Church of Dardanelle, later named Amazing Grace Assembly of God and pastored the church for 25 years. In the past few years, he attended the Atkins First Assembly of God where he continued to worship and serve God's people. He loved woodwork, raising a vegetable garden, especially okra, broccoli, and herbs & spices, hunting & fishing, mechanic work, and spending time with his many children and grandchildren.
