Charlie Reed Obituary (1935

Charlie Reed, 76, of Russellville, AR, died Saturday, May 26, 2012 at Baptist Medical Center in Little Rock. The son of Julius and Opal Reed, he was born July 23, 1935 in Russellville. He was married to Gayle Reed, on January 22, 1955 in Cincinnati, Oh. Charlie worked for TGY for 31 years and worked as a manager at AutoZone for 29 years. He was a volunteer EMT for the Russellville Ambulance Service and also volunteered with boy scouts and the Special Olympics. Charlie served as an advisor for DECA program at Russellville High School and an advisor to the automotive section at Russellville Career Center. He was also a 20 year member of the Volunteer Russellville fire department. He was a member of the First Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by his parents. Left to cherish his memory is his loving wife Gayle Reed of Russellville; three children Diana Lee Reed of Russellville, Grady Reed & wife Lesley of North Little Rock, and Cathee Terrell & husband Derrick of North Little Rock; two grandchildren Christopher Reed of San Angelo, Tx and Corey Reed of Fayetteville; a brother James Reed & wife Colleen of Russellville; and a aunt Maxine Good of Russellville. Graveside service will be at 9:00 AM, Wednesday, May 30, 2012 at Oakland Cemetery. Steve Williams will officiate. Visitation will be from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm, on Tuesday, at the funeral home.
