Christopher Lee Bowden, 48, of Vail, Arizona, died Tuesday, September 15, 2020, in Tucson. The son of Jimmy and Faye (Chambers) Bowden, he was born June 15, 1972, in Covina, California. After earning an associate's degree, Chris attended Brooks Institute of Photography in Ventura, California, and became a professional photographer specializing in architectural design, traveling throughout the world with his trade.\n\nChris loved spending time with his parents and family. He and his dad enjoyed many competitive rounds beating each other at the pool table. He was an avid reader of the classics and a science-fiction enthusiast. He also enjoyed relaxing to classical music.\n\nChris attended worship with his family in a non-denominational church. He trusted Christ as his Savior as a boy, and especially in the last few months of his life, his spirit grew more and more passionate for the Scripture and the things of God.\n\nHe was preceded in death by his fraternal grandparents, Lawrence & Sibyl Bowden; maternal grandparents, Omer & Irena Chambers; maternal aunts, Ilah Ramsey & Jean De Luna; and his maternal uncle, Hobert Lee Chambers.\n\nHe is survived by his father & mother, Jimmy & Faye Bowden of Vail; his brother, Stephen L. Bowden; his maternal aunt & uncle, Mary & Keith Boyd; a maternal aunt, Jo Ann Chambers; a fraternal aunt, Jerry Gentry; his fraternal aunt & uncle, Beverly & Randy Leavell; and many cousins.\n\nA private family service will be held at Humphrey Chapel with Rev. Robert Heflin officiating. Burial will follow at Rest Haven Memorial Park in Russellville by Humphrey Funeral Service.
