Please be aware that due to copyright restrictions Facebook may temporarily mute certain song selections played during the service.\n\nDavid Lee Smith, 69, of London, AR, went home to be with his Lord Wednesday, May 5, 2021 at Arkansas Hospice River Valley Home in Russellville. The son of Lester and Allene Wright Smith, he was born August 12, 1951 in Scottsville, AR and was a graduate of Russellville High School. He married the love of his life, Deborah Leavell Smith, on September 30, 1972 in Russellville. David was a Master Electrician retiring from International Paper. He was a member of London First Baptist Church where he previously served as a Deacon, Sunday School teacher, and was an ordained minister with the Southern Baptist Convention.\n\nDavid was an avid duck hunter and fisherman. He was known for creating his own recipes for making jam, and loved spending time with family and friends. He was a devoted husband, loving father and the best paw-paw.\n\nHe was preceded in death by his parents; a sister, Mildred Dotson and a brother, James Kinder.\n\nLeft to cherish his memory is his wife of almost 49 years, Deborah Smith of London; a daughter, Autra and Jimmie Hall of Bentonville; a brother, Carroll and Judy Smith of Selingsgrove, PA; and a grandson, Jazen Hall of Bentonville; and numerous special nieces and nephews.\n\nA Memorial Service will be held at 2:00PM, Saturday, May 22, 2021 at Humphrey Chapel. Bro. Danny Green and Bro. Brett Cottrell will officiate. Visitation will start at 1:30 pm until service time, at the funeral home. Cremation arrangements are by J. Herman Humphrey Dignity Cremation Center and Humphrey Funeral Service.
