Don Brooks

Don Brooks, 74, of Dover, AR, died Thursday, November 12, 2009 at St. Mary's Regional Medical Center in. The son of Harlin and Evelyn Hottinger Brooks, he was born April 19, 1935 in Dover. He married Myrna Fricke, on July 25, 1959 at Covina, CA. Prior to his retirement he was a manager with Hardee's. He enjoyed music, singing and song writting. He was preceded in death by his father and one son, Shelby Brooks.
Survivors include his wife, Myrna Brooks of Dover; two children, Hugh Thompson of Dover and Katherine Kinghan of Reno, NV four grandchildren, Sean Thompson, Shelby Thompson, Sarah Cook and Lana Kinghan; one great grandchild, Hunter Sipovac; two sisters, Tootsie Vinson, Barbara Zerangue; two brothers, Johnny Brooks and Jimmy Brooks; mother, Evelyn Brooks.

Memorial service will be at 6:00PM, Tuesday, November 17, 2009 at Humphrey Chapel. Rev. Clellan Tilley will officiate. Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Humphrey Funeral Service.
