Don LaRue

Don LaRue, 80, of Dover, AR, died Monday, September 27, 2010 at VA Regional Medical Center in Little Rock. The son of Homer and Sarah Leona Stark LaRue, he was born November 2, 1929 in Dover. He married Patricia Joan Wright on August 4, 1951 at Russellville. Don was a truck driver with Standard Rendering Company of Russellville. He was a member of the the Rogers Rye Post #2283 and the Pleasant Grove Assembly of God Church. He enjoyed fishing, camping, reading the Bible and spending time with his family. He was preceded in death by his parents; a daughter, Retha Joan LaRue; son-in-law, Larry Rentfro; a sister, LaEuna Cossey; two brothers, James Edgar LaRue and Garland LaRue.
He is survived by his wife, Pat LaRue of Dover; five children, Donella Willis & husband Danny of Dover, Ricky LaRue & wife Thula of Dover, Denise Duvall & husband Terry of Dover, Tina Smith & husband Mark of Dover, Janice Meimerstorf & husband Tim of Russellville; twelve grandchildren; ten great grandchildren; two sisters, Izolia Sain of Clarksville & Juanita VanOhlen & husband Dick of Russellville; five brothers, Jesse Lee LaRue & wife Ruby of Glennpool, OK, Bill LaRue & wife Anna of Dover, Wayne LaRue & wife Sue of Bentonville, Homer LaRue & wife Diane of Hot Springs, Gayland LaRue & wife Alice of Dover.
Funeral will be at 10:00 A.M., Thursday, September 30, 2010 at Pleasant Grove Assembly of God Church. Reverend Jackie Pledger and Reverend Terry Duvall will officiate. Burial will be at Pollard Cemetery in Dover by Humphrey Funeral Service. Full military honors will be provided by the Rogers Rye Post of the VFW #2283. Visitation will be from 5 to 7:30 P.M., on Wednesday, at the funeral home.
