Dorise Lee Daniel

Dorise Daniel, 87, of Dover, died Sunday, January 29, 2012 at St. Mary's Regional Medical Center in Russellville. The daughter of George and Hessie Shuffield, she was born March 28, 1924 in Pope County. She was a homemaker and a member of the former Howard church house in Bull Frog Valley. She enjoyed flower gardening and quilting. She was preceded in death by her husband Garland J. Daniel; her parents; one brother, George Shuffield; and one sister, Wanda Boze.

Survivors include three daughters, Wanda Kay Smith of Little Rock, Pat Waldo and husband Bill of Russellville, Dorothy Daniel of Dover, three grandchildren, James Waldo of London, Travis Waldo and wife Angel of Tahlequah, OK, Paulette Shuffield of Russellville; six great grandchildren; one brother, Billy Shuffield and wife Carlene of Russellville; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

A graveside service will be held at 1:00 P.M., Thursday, February 2, 2012 at Owens Cemetery in Dover. Pastor Bobby Freeman will officiate. Burial will be at Owens Cemetery in Dover by Humphrey Funeral Service. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 P.M., on Wednesday, at the funeral home.
