Dortha Martin Obituary (1932

Dortha Martin, 83, of London, AR, passed away Tuesday, September 22, 2015 at Legacy Heights Nursing Home in Russellville, AR. The daughter of David and Letha Rickett, she was born July 14, 1932 in Dover, AR. She married the love of her life Mansy Martin. They were married 58 years before his passing. Dortha was a member of the London First Baptist Church. She enjoyed cooking, working in the garden, canning and sewing. She was known for her homemade apple pies. Dortha was the best mother, ever. Her family was her life and she loved doing things for them. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, James "Mansy" Martin; four brothers, Alfred, Elmer, Charlie and Joe Rickett; seven sisters, Edith, Eva, Bertha, Elise, Mae, Ellen and Jewell. Left to cherish her memory are her daughter, Bonita Mueller & husband Johnny of London; son, James Martin of London; two grandchildren, Heather Ford & husband Dustin of Dardanelle and Shaun Martin of London. Funeral Service will be held at 10:00AM, Friday, September 25, 2015 at Humphrey Chapel. Brother Mike West and Brother Chip Howington will officiate. Burial will be at East Point Cemetery in Russellville, AR by Humphrey Funeral Service. Visitation will be from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm, on Thursday, at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to Pope County Hospice, 404 North El Paso, Russellville, AR. 72801. Active pallbearers will be Monte Esters, Blaid Estes, Jon Karther, Harlie Mueller, Harlie James Mueller and Tim Hall.
