Earnest Clinton Jones, 42, of Novelty, Missouri, formerly of Pottsville, died Tuesday, July 7, 2020, at his residence. A son of Luther and Sandra Gale (Reppond) Jones, he was born August 29, 1977, in Danville, Arkansas.\n\nEarnie was a gentle soul who was loved by everyone who knew him. He graduated from Pottsville High School. During his working years, he was employed as heavy equipment operator in road construction with Blackstone Asphalt. He was an avid hunter & fisherman, loved playing his guitar, was an accomplished musician, and a die-hard Arkansas Razorback fan. More than anything in life, he gained the greatest joy in spending time with his children. He composed a lullaby for his daughter and was a nurturing dad to his children from their first breath until his last.\n\nHe was preceded in death by his grandfather, Auton Jones; and his grandmother, Velma Jones.\n\nHe is survived by his daughter and son, Ashlyn Jones & Bredon Jones, and their mother, Melissa Flud Jones; his mother, Sandra Bowman (Gary); his father, Luther Clinton Jones (Peggy); his sister, Beverly Beam (Jason); and his brother, David Jones; and other relatives & friends.\n\nA private family graveside service & burial under the direction of Humphrey Funeral Service will be held at Pisgah Cemetery in Pottsville with Rev.
