Edith H. Adams

Edith H. Adams, age 86, a resident of Russellville, AR, died Saturday, May 12, 2001 at Russellville, AR. She was born on November 8, 1914 at Femmer, Denmark to Julius and Marie Hansen. Her family immigrated to the United States when she was 12 years old and settled in Coarsegold, California. Her father was a rancher and finish carpenter. She married Clark Adams in 1936 in Madera, California. Mr. Adams died in 1980 in California. Mrs. Adams moved to Russellville to live with her daughter in March of 1998. She enjoyed gardening and loved flowers, hummingbirds and cardinals. She enjoyed being a teacher with World Bible School and was a member of the West Side Church of Christ.
Survivors include a daughter, Judy Lamb of Russellville; a son, Jack Adams of Coarsegold; nine grandchildren, Monty Adams of Redding, Cindy Long of Russellville, Tim Lamb of Ft. Smith, Heath Thomas of Conway, Keith Thomas of Russellville, Brandi Adams of Coarsegold, Shannon Adams of Fresno, Deanna Thomas of Searcy.
The family will receive friends from 7-8:30 p.m. Sunday at Humphrey Funeral Home. Burial will be at Oak Hill Cemetery in Oakhurst, California under the direction of Jay Chapel in Placerville, California. Memorials may be made to Camp Caudle, P O Box 1084, Russellville, AR 72811.
