Elwanda Brashears Obituary (1937 - 2012)

Elwanda Brashears, 74, of Russellville, departed this life Tuesday, January 31, 2012 at her home. The daughter of Chester and Virgie Wirth Hipps, she was born July 25, 1937 in Russellville. She was a 1953 graduate of Marked Tree High School. Elwanda and Tommy Brashears were married on August 10, 1954 in Hernando, Mississippi. She enjoyed cooking for her family and friends and loved spending time with her grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her father; a brother, Carl Hipps; a sister Linda Scott. She is survived by her husband, Tommy Brashears, Russellville; a daughter, Jan Goforth, Springfield, MO; 2 grandchildren, Rachelle Morgan, Russellville; T.J. Ragsdale, Russellville; her mother, Virgie Hipps, Russellville; a sister, Evelyn McKinney, Marked Tree. Memorial service will be at 10:00AM, Saturday, February 4, 2012 at Humphrey Chapel. Rev.
