Evert M. 'Dutch' Stewart Obituary (1923

Evert M. 'Dutch' Stewart, age 78, a resident of Dover died Wednesday, November 7, 2001 at St. Mary's Regional Medical Center in Russellville. He was born on August 25, 1923 in Roby, TX, to Doc and Carrie Hitt Stewart. He was a U. S. Army Veteran of World War II. Following the war, Mr. Stewart worked for Delmonte for 29 years in California as an inspector. He married Loyal Bates on June 28, 1968. He was a member of the Dover United Methodist Church. He was preceded in death by his parents and a stepson, Harry Gray. Survivors include his wife of 33 years, Loyal Bates Stewart of Dover; two daughters, Barbara Stewart of Dover, Saundra Vanhuss of Paso Robles; a step daughter, Sonya Lee of Ft.Smith; 6 grandchildren; 7 great grandchildren; a brother, Wayne Stewart of Mercer Island. Funeral service will be 2 p.m. Friday, November 9, 2001 at the Owens Cemetery officiated by Rev. Eric VanMeter. Burial will be under the direction of Humphrey Funeral Service. PDF Printable Version
