Floye Gladys Cartwright Obituary (1914

Floye Goates Cartwright, 97, of Hector, AR, died Wednesday, March 14, 2012 at St. Mary's Regional Med Ctr in Russellville, AR. The daughter of Leonard and Nancy Eley Rowland Goates, she was born November 30, 1914 in Scottsville, AR. She was a Sales Associate for many years and a member of the 7th Day Adventist Church of Russellville. She enjoyed sewing and gardening. Floye was preceded in death by her parents; husband Darius "Bill" Cartwright; brothers, Andrew, Alex, George, Clarence, Mearl, Floyd, Emmitt and Eugene Goates; sisters, Sarah Jennings, Obra Goates, Mary Goates, Maxie Allen, Bertha Allen, Louise Mayfield. Survivors include her sister-in-law, Sylvia Goates of Scottsville; numerous, nieces, nephews, friends and a very special care giver, Diana Niemann. Funeral will be 2:00PM, Saturday, March 17, 2012 at Humphrey Chapel. Pastor Don Turnipseed will officiate. Burial will be at Goates Cemetery in Scottsville, AR by Humphrey Funeral Service.
