Gary Jones, 65, of Dover, died Wednesday, March 21, 2018, at Saint Mary's Regional Medical Center in Russellville. A son of Cecil and Wonnie (Parker) Jones, he was born June 22, 1952, in Russellville.\n\nHe was preceded in death by his father, Cecil Nordeen Jones; his late wife, Brenda (Profitt) Jones; his paternal grandparents, Cecil & Opal Jones; and his maternal grandparents, Monroe & Willie Parker. He is survived by his mother, Wonnie (Parker) Jones; two daughters, Mitzi Jones of Dover, and Angie Titsworth (Josh) of Russellville; a son, Gary Dean Jones of Talequah, OK; a brother, Cecil Jones, Jr. (Jean) of Clarksville; and ten grandchildren.\n\nGary was disabled from his employment as a truck driver. Apart from his love for family, his greatest passion and joy in life was flying. He was the proud owner of two airplanes and enjoyed taking them up as often as he could. He was baptized early in his life at the Russellville Missionary Baptist Church, and served honorably in the Army National Guards for more than 8 years.\n\nA service to celebrate Gary's life will be held at 10:00AM, Saturday, March 24, 2018, at Humphrey Chapel. Rev. Rick Smith will officiate. Burial will be at Pollard Cemetery Association in Dover, by Humphrey Funeral Service. Visitation will be 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm, on Friday, at the funeral home.
