Gene Tanner

Gene Tanner, 68, of Russellville, AR, died Friday, February 7, 2003 at V. A. Regional Medical Center in North Little Rock, AR. The son of Lester and Edith (Dillard) Tanner , he was born July 5, 1934 in Amity, AR. He married Joy D. (Stinnett) on November 7, 1959 at Bismarck, Arkansas. He was a United States Army Veteran. Mr. Tanner was owner and operater of The Color Center. He was a Graduate of Arkansas Tech University and a member of Dardanelle Church of Christ. He was preceded in death by his parents, one sister and two brothers.
Survivors include his wife, Joy Tanner, of Russellville; two sons and daughters in law, Tony and Terri Tanner of Columbia, Tim and Lori Tanner of Russellville; three grandchildren, Danielle Tanner, Dana Tanner,and Alexis Tanner; two brothers, Maurice Tanner of Clarksville, Joe Tanner of Jackson; four sisters, Maragaret Pfifer of Donaldson, Lillian Gleaser of Hot Springs, Carol Porter of Malvern, Rose Mary Shankle of Jackson.
Graveside Funeral services will be 1 P.M. Tuesday, February 11, 2003 at the Shiloh Cemetery near Bonnerdale, Arkansas. Mr. Tim Carrothers will officiate. Burial will be at Shiloh Cemetery at Bonnerdale, AR under the direction of Humphrey Funeral Service. The family will receive friends from 6-8 Monday at the funeral home.
