Gerran Keith Pyles Obituary (1970 - 2013)

Gerran Keith Pyles, 43, of Russellville, passed away Friday, December 27, 2013 at St. Mary's Regional Medical Center in Rusellville. The son of Keith Pyles and the late Rheda (Ashmore) Jones, he was born October 1, 1970 in Russellville. He married Alicia Leavell, on March 20, 2005 at Ranger and his accomplishments include raising his five children with his wife, Alicia. He served as operations manager with Americold Logistics for 20 years and recently opened the Briar Patch Novelty Shop. He enjoyed playing softball, watching sports, fantasy football and he was a notorious Dallas Cowboys and Razorback fan. Even Gerran's interest in sports was overshadowed by the love for his family. He was preceded in death by his mother, Rheda Ashmore Jones; grandfather, Robert Ashmore; and grandmother, Inez Pyles. Survivors who cherish his memory are his loving wife of 8 years, Alicia Pyles; two children, Hali Renae Pyles and Jacob Gerran Pyles; three step children, Austin Leavell, Allison Leavell, and Cole Leavell; two grandchildren, Raiden Gerran Brown and Silas Mac Gossett; all of Russellville; father, Keith Pyles; brother, Jason Lee Pyles; both of Van Buren; grandmother, Myrtis Church of Russellville; grandfather, William Ernie Pyles of Booneville; two nephews, Jesse Pyles and Sean Pyles; both of Van Buren; aunt, Paula Freedle and husband, Al of Russellville; four uncles, Ralph E. Pyles and wife, Debbie of Mansfield, Gordon Jay Pyles and wife, Sandy of Booneville; Bruce Ernie Pyles and wife, Susan of Mansfield and Larry Ashmore and wife Elaine of Wellington, New Zealand; and numerous extended family and friends. Funeral Service will be held at 2:00PM, Thursday, January 2, 2014 at Humphrey Chapel in Russellville. Rev Mark Simmons will officiate. Burial will be at Rest Haven Memorial Park in Russellville by Humphrey Funeral Service. Visitation will be from 5-7PM, on Wednesday, at the funeral home.
