Glenda Rose Young

–

Russellville, Arkansas

At 85 years young, Arkansas lost one of its sharpest, boldest, and most captivating souls on 8.29.26. Glenda lived a life that was nothing short of magical, leaving an unforgettable mark on every person lucky enough to enter into her orbit.

Her story began in Ola Arkansas where she was the oldest daughter of Othel and Rose Woodward. Her high-energy spirit led her to become a cheerleader in Ola, a spark she carried with her for the rest of her days. In a classic small-town romance, she married a boy from the next town over, Nimrod. From this union she welcomed her only child, Amy Young. When her daughter entered the picture Glenda became the most magical Mom. Those that knew her during that time know just how lucky Amy was to have her as a mom.

But Glenda was never one to stick to a predictable script. In the late 1970s she decided it was time for a new chapter. With the fierce independence of a true 1970s liberal woman, she initiated a divorce and boldly set out to carve her own path in the world. This path led her to become one of the most beloved realtors in Russellville. During her real-estate career she met the love of her life Anthony Fuentes. They loved and traveled and lived a beautiful life together for over 3 decades. They founded the real estate company, Prime Homes Realty. Armed with unmatched wit, charm, and a legendary ability to sell absolutely anything, Glenda's real estate career spanned more than four decades.

Beyond her human family Glenda's home was always anchored by her beloved feline "babies." She always referred to them as Amy's siblings. The last feline love was sweet Molly. Molly was the light of Glenda's world as she traveled through the battles of Lewy Body Dementia. If you knew Glenda in the last 8 years you knew Molly as well. They became inseparable.

Glenda lived life on her own terms, sold the world on her talents, and was loved by absolutely everyone she met. To use her own famous catchphrase, "Will you put that in writing?" She will be deeply missed, but her legacy of love remains firmly unshakeable, and yes, we will put that in writing.

Visitation and viewing will be 6:00 – 8:00 PM, Wednesday, September 2, 2026, at Humphrey Funeral Home Chapel. A private graveside service and burial will be at Sandlin Cemetery in ola under the direction of Humphrey Funeral Service.

Memorials may be sent to Street Cats Inc., 3105 South Winston Avenue, Tulsa, OK 74135.
