Goldie Solomon, a beloved resident of Russellville, Arkansas, formerly of Dover, passed away on Friday, November 3, 2023, at the age of 98, at Russellville Nursing & Rehab in Russellville, AR. Born on March 1, 1925, in Mt. Judea, AR, she was the daughter of George and Carrie Campbell Freeman. Goldie had a fulfilling career as a Production employee with Morton Foods. Her most cherished accomplishments, however, were being a devoted wife and a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and great-great-grandmother. She was a faithful member of the Dover First Baptist Church.\n\nGoldie's interests included hunting, fishing, shopping, visiting her childhood home, and spending quality time with her family. She was preceded in death by her husband, Alvin Solomon, her parents, two brothers, a sister, a granddaughter and a niece, Lois Hunt.\n\nShe is survived by her daughter, Wanda Dixon of Hartman, and her three sons: Roy Solomon (Pauline) of Dover, Hershell Solomon (Linda) of Dover, and Bob Solomon (Brenda) of Dover. Goldie also leaves behind nine grandchildren and an extended family of fourteen great-grandchildren and twenty-eight great-great-grandchildren.\n\nA funeral service to celebrate Goldie's life will be held at 10:00 AM on Wednesday, November 8, 2023, at Humphrey Funeral Service, with Bro. Sandy Taylor officiating. Burial will take place at Sexton Cemetery in Mt. Judea, AR, conducted by Humphrey Funeral Service.
