Grace K. Pitman White

Grace K. Pitman White, age 94, died Monday October 30, 2006 at her home near London. She was born July 31, 1912 in the Pless Community to Will and Nora Tessneer Pitman. She married Joe E. White on July 4, 1933. Grace was a member of the Mt. Carmel Cumberland Presbyterian Church having served as a Sunday school teacher for many years and was an active lifetime member of the Pless Extension Homemakers Club. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; one grandson, Jason White; one great-grandson, Justin Brown; and a sister, Lucille Rachel.
She is survived by four sons and daughters-in-law, Gaines and Shirlene White of Russellville, Don and Doris White, Jerrell and Esther White, and Roger and Mary White of London; one daughter and son-in-law, Betty and Aaron Anthony of London; one sister and brother-in-law, Kathryn and Milton Nordin of London; one brother-in-law, Paul Rachel of Springdale; fourteen grandchildren; thirty-three great-grandchildren, and seven great-great-grandchildren; numerous nieces, nephews, family and friends.
Funeral will be at 10:00 AM, Thursday, November 2, 2006 at Mt. Carmel Cumberland Presbyterian Church near London. Reverend David Carpenter, Mr. Ryan Puls, Mr. Percy Boster, and Mr. Carlton Bowden will officiate. Burial will follow in Mt. Carmel Cemetery near London under the direction of Humphrey Funeral Service. Visitation will be from 6:00 to 8:00 PM Wednesday at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to the Mt. Carmel Cemetery Fund, c/o Ted Boster, 3608 East 5th Street, Russellville, AR 72802.
Active pallbearers will be her grandsons, Russell, Jerry, Peter, A.J., Scotty, and Kent White.
