Gregory Allan Stapf, 64, of Atkins, formerly of Pottsville, died Friday, December 4, 2020, at Atkins Nursing & Rehabilitation Center. The son of George and MaryAnn (Panning) Stapf, he was born January 18, 1956, in St. Paul, Minnesota. He married Cheryl A. Stapf, on October 2, 1979, in Little Rock.\n\nDuring his working career, Greg was employed with the Pottsville City Water Department and later worked with his wife in their day care business. He enjoyed playing PC video games, shooting guns, camping and the great outdoors.\n\nHe was preceded in death by his brother, Chris Stapf.\n\nHe is survived by his wife of 40 years, Cheryl; his daughter, Ashley Sales (Justin) of Russellville; a brother, Tom Stapf (Eva) of Matairie, LA; his father, George Stapf of Kansas City; his mother, MaryAnn Stapf; one nephew and one niece.\n\nCremation arrangements are under the direction of the Herman Humphrey Dignity Cremation Center.
