"Jubby" Collins, 93, of Russellville, died Tuesday, April 19, 2022, at his son's home in the Moreland community. Funeral service will be 2:00PM, Saturday, April 23, 2022, at Humphrey Chapel with Rev. Rick Smith officiating. Burial will be at Paschal Cemetery in Moreland by Humphrey Funeral Service. Visitation will be 6:00 to 8:00 pm, on Friday at the funeral home. The son of James, Sr. and Nancy Catherine (Bewley) Collins, he was born April 10, 1929, in Pottsville. He was preceded in death by his wife of 65 years, Margaret Sue Collins; their infant son, James Troy Collins; his parents; a grandson, Jamie Collins; three brothers; and two sisters. He is survived by two sons: Greg Collins (Kathy), & Jim Collins (Sandy); two daughters: Cathy Heim (Bob) & Janell Lang (Will), all of Russellville; five grandchildren: Mitchell Barton (Shauna), Amanda Williams (Jeff), Jordan Sowers (Dustin), Rebekah McCraine (Casey) & Tyler Collins (Meagan); 20 great grandchildren; 1 great-great grandchild; his sister, Annie Faye Jackson of Sand Springs, OK; and numerous nephews & nieces. Jubby worked throughout his life as a millwright, cattle, and hog farmer. He helped in the construction of the Dardanelle River bridge, Dardanelle Lock & Dam, and Arkansas Nuclear One. He and Sue operated a poultry growing business for Tyson Foods. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge and a long-standing member of Moreland First Baptist Church. He enjoyed traveling, building chuck wagons, fox hunting, playing cards, checkers, and was a big Hank Williams, Sr. fan.
