James J.D. Garrison, 54, of Russellville, passed away peacefully surrounded by family and friends, Friday, March 15, 2019, at Arkansas Hospice River Valley Home in Russellville. The son of James and Ellen Marie Thompson Garrison, he was born March 6, 1965, in Muskogee, OK. He was a graduate of Hector High School. He married Mitzi Hollis, on October 15, 1994, at Russellville. He owned and operated Universal Appraisals. J.D. was a devoted husband, father, son, brother and friend. He was a Lifetime Red Coat of the Russellville Chamber of Commerce, a lifetime member of National Rifle Association and attended First Baptist Church of Russellville. J.D. enjoyed hunting, racing, watching Razorback sports, Dallas Cowboys, St. Louis Cardinals, Cyclone Volleyball and Softball, telling stories and most importantly, spending time with his daughter, Madison. He was preceded in death by his father in law, Dorsey Hollis and his grandparents, Jim and Ethel Garrison and Dan and Marie Thompson.\n\nSurvivors include his wife, Mitzi Garrison of Russellville; a daughter, Madison Garrison of Russellville; his parents, James L. and Ellen Garrison of Hector; mother-in-law, Darlene Hollis of Russellville; a brother, Joe D. Garrison (Laura) of Russellville; two sisters, Criket Tramel (Robbie) of Lamar; Shonda McCuin (Mike) of Visalia, CA; sister in law, Rhonda Dilbeck (Larry) of Russellville; five nephews, Shane Hillis (Heather); Josh Dilbeck (Melissa); Gauge Garrison (Autumn); Gunner Garrison all of Russellville; Grayson McCuin of Visalia, CA; four nieces, Kiley Mosier (Jonathan) of Greenwood; Morgan Garrison of Fayetteville; Hanna Mott (Dakota) of Woodhaven, MI; Meggan Harris of Russellville; 12 great nephews and nieces; aunt, Wanda White; uncle, Charlie "Bud" Garrison (Shirley) and other family and friends that he loved dearly.\n\nGraveside Service and burial will be held at 2:00PM, Wednesday, March 20, 2019, at Moore Cemetery by Humphrey Funeral Service. Bro. Jeff Smith and Bro. Bud Garrison will officiate. Honorary pallbearers will be Tim Tarbox "Yorker", Brian Smith, Tim Gary, Kevin Smoke, Tommy New, Josh Dilbeck, Shane Hillis, Gauge Garrison, Gunner Garrison, Grayson McCuin, Jonathan Mosier, Scott Walker, David Duffield, Keith Kennamore, Blaine Rogers, Rick Adkins & Greg Galyean.
