Jean Fleniken Blount

Jean Fleniken Blount, 90, of Russellville, AR, passed away on Sunday, September 4, 2011 at Russellville Nursing & Rehab in Russellville, AR. The daughter of John and Lucille Carter Sanders, she was born August 24, 1921 in Pleasant Hill, LA.
She was married for over 55 years to H.P. Fleniken Jr. before his passing. She later married Presley Blount. Jean was a clerk with Central Louisiana Electric for many years until her retirement. She was a very active member of the First Baptist Church of Mansfield. She enjoyed spending time with her family, especially cooking for them. She was preceded in death by her parents and first husband H.P. Fleniken Jr.

Left to cherish her memory are her husband Presley Blount of Coushatta, LA; two sons, Dr. Dennis Fleniken & wife Patsy of Russellville, AR. and Terry Fleniken of Russellville, AR; five grandchildren, Greg Fleniken & wife Carole of Toledo, OH, Dr. Ashley Burnham & husband Kevin of Russellville, Michael Fleniken of Orlando, FL, Thomas Fleniken & wife Erica of Tampa, FL, Rachel Webb & husband Dan of Melbourne, FL; four great grandchildren, Drew Fleniken, Jake Ceola, Maegan Fleniken, Breanna Burnham.

Graveside service will be 10:00AM, Friday, September 9, 2011 at Highland Cemetery in Mansfield, LA. Reverend Joe Waggoner will officiate. Burial will follow by Humphrey Funeral Service.
