Mr. Jerry Barton Obituary (1935

Jerry Barton, 81, of Knoxville, died Friday, November 4, 2016 at Arkansas Hospice River Valley Home in Russellville. The son of Charlie and Rona Crandall Barton, he was born July 11, 1935 in Moreland. He was a 1954 graduate of Russellville High School. He and Mattie Crain were married on February 3, 1956 in London. Jerry was the proprietor of Barton's Body Shop in Russellville for over 30 years. Jerry and Mattie were long time members of First Assembly of God and were active in the church choir and members of the J. B. Underhill Sunday School Class. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, restoring antique cars and spending time with his family. He was preceded in death by his wife Mattie Crain Barton; his parents; 2 brothers and 6 sisters. He is survived by 2 sons, Mark Barton,(Pam), Mena, Alan Barton (Cindy), Mustang, OK; 4 grandchildren, Alisha Driver (Michael), Fayetteville, Rachel Sandidge (Matt), Yukon, OK, Cole Barton, Fayetteville, Katie Barton, Yukon, OK; 3 great grandchildren, Mattie Kate, Jacob and Zoe, brother, A.G. Barton (Bettye), Dover; sister, Julia Rye, Russellville. Funeral Service will be held at 10:00AM, Tuesday, November 8, 2016 at First Assembly of God. Rev. Mike Norberg will officiate. Burial will be at Rest Haven Memorial Park in Russellville by Humphrey Funeral Service. Visitation will be from 6:00 pm to 7:30 pm, on Monday, at the funeral home.
