Joyce Faye Butts, a beacon of light born on March 24, 1951, in Russellville, Arkansas, embarked on her new and eternal adventure with her Lord and Savior on September 10, 2023, at the age of 72. Joyce's life was a testament to love, faith, and the joy she shared with everyone she met.\n\nIn her heavenly home, Joyce rejoins her parents, Boe and Margie McNeese, and her beloved sister, Marilyn Kay Williamson. She leaves behind a legacy of love and cherished memories, survived by her devoted husband of 56 years, Bill Butts, who stood by her side through thick and thin.\n\nJoyce's love extended to her daughter and son-in-law, Tammy and Keith Gray of Russellville, and her adored granddaughter and grandson-in-law, Shelby and Marty McNally of North Little Rock, Arkansas. She was the heart of her family, and her presence will forever be cherished.\n\nAmong her siblings and their spouses, Bobby and Genie Seagraves of Houston, Texas, George and Polly McNeese of Russellville, and Marie and Jim Powell of Russellville, Joyce's warm spirit left an indelible mark. She was the glue that bound her family together, and her nurturing love will continue to inspire them.\n\nJoyce's passions were as vibrant as her spirit. She found joy in baking and creating delicious meals for her family and friends. Her green thumb graced her garden, and her walks and aerobic classes at the fitness center were a testament to her zest for life. Her dedication shone through her career role in office management.\n\nBut Joyce's love extended far beyond her immediate circle. She was a devoted member and teacher of the Women's Bible Study Fellowship for over 5 years, sharing her wisdom and faith with those around her. While attending Antioch Free Will Baptist Church, she was a shining example of service, acting as Church Clerk and Sunday School teacher for many years. For over a decade since, Joyce and Bill have worshiped and served their faith family at First Baptist Church in Dover, Arkansas, exemplifying their unwavering commitment to their faith.\n\nJoyce's life will be celebrated during visitation with her family on Wednesday at 1:00 pm, at Dover First Baptist Church, followed by the funeral service at 2:00 pm, officiated by Pastor Jeff Paxton and Rev. Fred Goates. Her final resting place will be in the "Field of Honor" at Center Valley Memorial Gardens in Russellville, a reflection of her deep-rooted values of honor and respect for her husband’s service to our country. The direction of this heartfelt gathering will be guided by Humphrey Funeral Service.\n\nAs we honor the memory of Joyce Faye Butts, we invite you to share your thoughts, memories, and messages of love in her online guestbook, available at www.humphreyfuneral.com.
