Lavonne Clendenin Donahou, 84, a resident of Russellville, Arkansas, passed away on Tuesday, October 24, 2023, at her residence in Russellville. She was born on August 16, 1939, in Guy, Arkansas, to Jehu and Bronnie Ardele Stacks Clendenin. On December 19, 1982, she married Eddie Donahou in Russellville. Lavonne worked as a Secretary at Russellville First United Methodist Church and UAMS. She achieved the distinction of being the Valedictorian of the Russellville High School Class of 1957 and was the cherished matriarch of her family.\n\nLavonne was an active member of the Eastern Star in Russellville and the Second Baptist Church of Russellville, where she served as a Sunday School Teacher and Librarian. She found solace in reading her Bible, had a deep love for flowers and animals, and treasured spending quality time with her family. She was preceded in death by her parents and her sister, Eva Phillips.\n\nSurvivors include her husband, Ed Donahou of Russellville, AR; daughter, Robin Soliz of Lowell, AR; granddaughter, Michelle McKinley; grandson, P.J. Turner (Sara); step-granddaughter, Zoe Donahou; step-grandsons, Grif Donahou and Ritchie Donahou; step-granddaughter, Micah Decker (Frank); step-grandson, John Cain (Rosie); step-sons, Mike Donahou (Jan) and Steve Donahou (Echo); step-daughter, Laurie Cain; niece, Diana Avery; and three great-grandchildren, Beckett, Saylor, and Braxton McKinley.\n\nA funeral service will be held at 10:00 AM on Monday, October 30, 2023, at Second Baptist Church, officiated by Rev. Al Ray Taylor and Rev. Jonathan Whitlock. Burial will take place at Oakland Cemetery in Russellville, AR, conducted by Humphrey Funeral Service.
