Kelly Jones

–

Pottsville, Arkansas

Kelly Sue (Madden) Jones, born June 12, 1957 in Maywood, CA passed away on Friday, June 30, 2023. A woman of immense character and a sharp, feisty wit, she also possessed a humble and compassionate heart that was a beacon of strength and comfort to all fortunate enough to know her.

A dedicated civil servant, Kelly served as Administrative Assistant to the Chief of Police at the Russellville Police Department for over 10 years. Outside her professional life, Kelly loved jigsaw puzzles, murder mysteries, and spending time with family and friends. Her accomplishments were many, including volunteering with Equestrian Zone and becoming a Paul Harris Fellow of Rotary International, but she held her family as the most precious achievement of all.

Kelly is survived by her husband Stephen C. Jones of Pottsville, AR; Erin Madden of Maumelle, and Cari and Justin Reeves of Little Rock, AR; sister Michelle "Mickey" and Mike Malone of Delaware, AR, as well as numerous cousins, friends, and colleagues. She was preceded in death by her parents, James Boyce and Betty Lou Madden.

The family asks that in lieu of flowers, donations be made to the Equestrian Zone (P. O. Box 103, Centerville AR 72829) in her honor. We would also like to personally thank the doctors and nurses of CARTI, Baptist Health Medical Center in Little Rock, and Gentiva Hospice of Russellville who worked tirelessly to ensure Kelly's health and comfort.

A memorial service will be held in her honor on Saturday, July 8, 2023 at 10:00am at Humphrey Funeral Service, located at 2801 West Main Street, Russellville, Arkansas, 72801. We invite those who knew and loved Kelly to share their memories and photos at www.humphreyfuneral.com. She touched the lives of so many with her kindness and warmth, and your stories will serve as a tribute to her beautiful spirit.
