Kenny West Hickman

–

Russellville, AR

Kenneth West Hickman, 98, of Russellville, died Sunday, September 20, 2026, at his home. Visitation with his family & friends will be 5:00 – 7:00 PM, Friday, September 25, 2026, at Humphrey Funeral Chapel. Graveside services are 10:00 AM, Saturday, September 26, at Oakland Cemetery in Russellville under the direction of Humphrey Funeral Service.

Kenneth was born February 22, 1928, in Russellville, to Bevy Benjamin (“B.B.”) and Lela Jewell (West) Hickman. He married Eleanore “Gaye” (Dacus) Hickman on March 21, 1952, who preceded him in death in October 2020, after 68 years of marriage.

He was also preceded in death by his parents; his granddaughter, Jessica Hickman; and a brother and sister-in-law, L.J. & Imo Hickman.

Kenneth is survived by five sons: Keith Hickman of Russellville; Randy Hickman (Patty) of Atlanta, Georgia; David Hickman of Russellville; Jim Hickman (Lena) of Southlake, Texas; and, Jerry Hickman (Jennifer) of Clarksville; nine grandchildren, and four great grandchildren.

Faith and family were the two most important values of Kenneth’s life. As a member of Russellville First Assembly of God, he taught Sunday School, ministered in music through choir and worship leadership, and served the church for more than 20 years as Secretary & Treasurer.

He loved his family, spending time with his sons and grandchildren as often as he could. He and Eleanore loved to travel and did so extensively throughout their life together. Whether alone or with a gathering of family and friends, watching a Razorback football was often in the mix.

Kenneth served four years in the U.S. Air Force during the Korean War Era. Following his military career, he began working in the insurance business. He helped many families acquire supplemental burial policies with Gardner Funeral Home and Humphrey Funeral Home over the years.

The families Kenneth’s life has touch throughout the River Valley, his loving family, and those among his faith family will miss his care, compassion, and the many ways he helped each one as only Kenneth could do.
