Kevin Smoke

–

Russellville, Arkansas

Kevin Smoke, 67, of Russellville, Arkansas, passed away Saturday, August 1, 2026, at Arkansas Heart Hospital in Little Rock.

Born on August 8, 1958, in Malvern, Arkansas, Kevin was the son of Clifford and Betty Jo Pelcher Smoke. He built a life defined by hard work, integrity, and a deep love for his family. After being a custom homebuilder for over 25 years, Kevin and his son founded HardRock Construction Inc. in 2009 and ran the business together as a family along with his wife, daughter-in-law and grandson, he took great pride in serving others through his work and earning the respect of those who knew him professionally and personally.

On August 13, 2009, Kevin married the love of his life, Rena' Smoke, in Russellville. Together they shared a marriage filled with love, laughter, and treasured memories. Kevin attended First Baptist Church of Russellville, where his quiet faith was reflected in the way he lived and cared for those around him.

Kevin found his greatest joy outdoors. Whether he was deer hunting at daybreak, calling in spring turkeys, taking his side by sides on joyrides and taking his sand rail to the sand dunes to Little Sahara, or enjoying the excitement of watching his son and grandson stock car race. He was a vital part of the pit-crew, pulling his grandson's car to the track every Saturday night. He embraced every opportunity to spend time doing what he loved with the people he loved most. Family gatherings, friendships, and making lasting memories were at the heart of his life, and his steady presence, generous spirit, and Loyal nature will be deeply missed by all who knew him.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Clifford and Betty Jo Smoke, and his brother, Michael "Kim" Smoke.

Kevin is survived by his devoted wife, Rena' Smoke of Russellville; his son, Michael Sutterfield and wife, Lindsey, of Pottsville; his beloved grandson, Brady Sutterfield of Pottsville; his niece, Michelle Ingram and husband, Caleb; his grandniece, Emilee Berry; and his grandnephew, Landyn Berry, all of Pottsville, along with many extended family members and dear friends who will forever cherish his memory.

A funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m. Friday, August 7, 2026, at First Baptist Church in Russellville with Bro. Mike Cloud and Mr. Jim Knight officiating. Burial will follow at Oakland Cemetery under the direction of Humphrey Funeral Service.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. Thursday at Humphrey Funeral Service.
