Landell Aday Obituary (1967

Landell Gene Aday, 58, of Russellville, passed away peacefully on Friday, June 13, 2025, at Baptist Medical Center in Little Rock, surrounded by the love of his family. Born on January 13, 1967, in Russellville, Landell was the beloved son of Clyde and Sharon Lavel Reves Aday. A proud native son, Landell carried his Arkansas roots with honor and integrity throughout his life. On May 12, 2006, he married the love of his life, Cherie Frost Aday, and together they built a home filled with laughter, strength, and enduring faith. Landell was a devoted husband, a caring father, and a cherished “Papa” to his grandchildren. His love for his family was the cornerstone of his life. A self-taught and highly respected Sales Engineer, Landell’s curiosity and dedication led him to success in his career. Yet, it was his role as a husband, father, grandfather, son, brother, and friend that brought him the greatest joy. He was known for his kindness, wisdom, and the quiet strength that came from a life of faith and purpose. Landell was an avid outdoorsman who found joy in fishing and hunting, often sharing those moments with his son Colten or teaching his grandchildren about nature. He was a member of the Bass Federation Association and Major League Fishing, where he made lasting friendships and shared his love for the sport. His craftsmanship in woodworking was matched only by his deep commitment to his church. A faithful member of Victory Missionary Baptist Church, Landell served diligently on both the Pastor Search Committee and the Finance Committee, always seeking to strengthen his community and faith family. He was preceded in death by his former spouse, Becky Aday, and his brother-in-law, Benny Harris. Landell leaves behind a legacy of love and strength. He is survived by his wife, Cherie Aday of Russellville; his children: Colten Aday of Conway, Caitlin Reyes (Henry) of Bella Vista, Amber Wallace of Russellville, and Justin Wallace (Angie) of Joplin, MO; and his treasured grandchildren: Vincent, Judah, Selah, and Nico. He is also survived by his parents, Clyde and Sharon Aday of Russellville; his sister, Lavel Harris of Russellville; his brother, Lynn Aday (Susie) of Russellville; and many extended family members, including sisters-in-law Carla Haney (Eddie), Jackie Traylor (Keith), and Dannielle Bailey (Durk); brother-in-law Steve Frost (DeQuita); and mother-in-law Sharon Frost, all of whom held a special place in his heart. A celebration of Landell’s life will be held at 10:00 AM on Tuesday, June 17, 2025, at Victory Baptist Church, with Bro. Doug Hambrick and Bro. Joe Yates officiating. He will be laid to rest at Center Valley Memorial Gardens in Russellville. Visitation will be held Monday from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Humphrey Funeral Home.
