Laura Faye Vinson

Laura Faye Vinson, 73, of Russellville, died Tuesday, September 14, 2010 at St. Mary's Regional Medical Center in Russellville. The daughter of Harlin and Evelyn Hottinger Brooks, she was born March 3, 1937 in Dover. She married William T. Vinson, on January 24, 1960 in Las Vegas, NV. She was a homemaker and enjoyed spending time with her family and cooking for them. She also took great pleasure in watching her grandchildren play sports. She always smiled and was kind to everyone. She was a member of the Moreland Freewill Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her parents, Harlin P. Brooks and wife Evelyn; a brother, Donald Brooks.
She is survived by her husband William T. Vinson; two sons, Randy Johnston & wife Nardina, Russ Vinson, of Russellville; a daughter, Lisa Leone & husband Philip of Springfield, PA; a step-daughter Judy Meston & husband Tony of Hesperia, CA; 11 grandchildren; 9 great grandchildren; a sister, Barbara Zeringue of Russellville; two brothers, John Brooks & wife Joanne of Covina, CA and Jim Brooks & wife Nancy of Dover; a sister-in-law Myrna Brooks of Dover; many loving nieces, nephews and friends.
A memorial service will be at 11:00 A.M., Friday, September 17, 2010 at Humphrey Chapel. Reverend Red Dixon will officiate. Memorials may be made to The Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation.
