Mable Pauline "Stella" Laffoon Obituary (1927 - 2013)

Mable Pauline " Stella" Laffoon, 85, on Sunday, February 17 , 2013 with her family by her side, left her earthly home to be with her Lord in heaven. The daughter of Joel and Edith Price Reese, she was born March 27, 1927 in Frisbee, MO. She was a cook for Poplar Bluff Jr. High School in Missouri for over 10 years. After moving to Russellville she took college courses at ATU. She was a member Bakers Creek Free Will Baptist Church. Stella loved singing and was the choir leader for several years. She was a avid Cardinals fan and she loved spending time with her family. She was preceded in death by her parents; first husband, James Riley Williams; 2nd husband, Bill Laffoon; son, Michael James Williams; step- son, Billy Laffoon and sister, Leatha Williams. Left to cherish her memory are three daughters, Carolyn Wood & husband Harold of Hot Springs, Brenda S. McAnulty & husband Lonnie of Russellville, Vicki Downum & husband Steve of Russellville; one step-daughter, Wilma Hayes & husband Earl of Lamar, 11 grandchildren, Suzy Turnbow & husband Steve of Pottsville, Christie Tanner & husband Paul of Vero Beach, FL, David Wood of Ellensburg, WA, Rachella Bressler & husband Karl of Collinsville, OK, Stephen Downum Jr & wife Jessica of New Blaine, Mike Williams II & wife Carrie of St. Louis, MO, Spenser Downum & wife Sarah of Ben Hur, Danial Williams of Gideon, MO, Sandy Krout & husband Phil of Rogers, Sara Corn & husband Jami of Risco, MO, Lorenda Simmons & husband Cody of Atkins, 28 great grandchildren, April Girvin & husband Johnny, Chelsey Simpson, Jacklyn Tanner , Katlyn Turnbow, Kolyn Turnbow, Abbi Downum, Kayli Tanner, Kari Downum, Ethan Downum, Riley Morefield, Zoe Wood, Chariti Downum, Seth Downum, Kyra Krout, Chloe Turnbow, Savannah Tanner, Akasha Williams, Guy Krout, Zach Williams, Josh Corn, Faith Tanner, Michael Williams III, Ethan Bressler, Ella Kinsey, Caleb Bressler, Edith Reese Krout, Blayne Simmons, Baby Krout ; two great great grandchildren, Haylie & Grayson Girvin; two daughters in law, Kathy Williams and Sherry Laffoon' 9 International grandchildren, Gilles, Mia, Louie, Emilio, Veera, Cannis, Jelena, Ana, Ayumi. Funeral Service will be held at 2:00PM, Saturday, February 23, 2013 at Humphrey Chapel. Reverends Jerry Burris and David Downum will officiate. Burial will be at St. Paul Cemetery in Gravel Hill, AR by Humphrey Funeral Service. Visitation will be from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm, on Friday, at the funeral home.
