Mamie Rosetta Riddell

Mamie Rosetta (McCain) Riddell, 89, of Dover, passed away October 3, 2005 at St. Marys Regional Medical Center in Russellville. She was born April 5, 1916 in Lamar, Arkansas to Sid and Martha McCain. She was a homemaker and a great helpmate to her late husband, Willie Riddell for 64 years before he passed away on October 26, 1996. Whatever Willie did, Mamie was there to help him, whether it was farming, building, hunting, fishing, cabinet making and so much more. They worked together all their married life. She was a great wife, mom and grandmother and was loved by all. She is preceded in death by her husband; one son, James Tim Riddell; one daughter-in-law, Linnie Riddell; one son-in-law, Henry Wheeler; three sisters, Delpha Almond, Josie Dunn Baker and Imogene Bean: and four brothers, Edd, Hartsel, Lee Roy and Gerald McCain.
She is survived by one daughter, Magdalene Wheeler of Platte City, Missouri; one son, Paul Riddell and wife Irene of Dover; one daughter-in-law, Ruth Riddell of Dover; two sisters, Ruby Jackson and husband Bill and Lois Caven and husband Danny of Sikeston, Missouri; one brother, Carroll McCain and wife Wanda of Cement, Oklahoma; fourteen grandchildren; five step grandchildren; thirty-seven great grandchildren; twenty-one step great grandchildren; twenty great great grandchildren; fourteen step great great grandchildren and a host of relatives and friends.
Funeral service will be 2:00 PM Friday, October 7, 2005 at Pleasant Grove Assembly of God Church at Dover with the Reverend Jackie Pledger and the Reverend Clinton Reddell officiating. Burial will be in McFadden Cemetery at Dover, under the direction of Humphrey Funeral Service. Visitation will be 6:00 8:00 PM Thursday at the funeral home.
